The duck feathers with their special curvature ensure a very full and airy cushion when used as part of a stuffing.
A cushion with duck feathers will remain voluminous for a number of years, if the cushion is just fluffed up from time to time.
The feathers are sorted according to carrying capacity and fineness, of which we only use the very best quality.
Each delivery is tested at our own laboratory and according to our own test method to ensure that the feathers have the right volume with and without pressure applied. The feathers are washed and treated according to the German RAL regulations.
Ball-fibre consists of small coherent fibre-balls, which are produced from carded stable fibres.
Ball-fibre “moves back into shape” faster than staple fibre and will stand up to a greater strain.
Tests show that ball-fibre has a significantly lower degree of setting than staple fibre.
Compared with ball-fibre, staple-fibre does not have the same recovery.
Staple-fibre is fibre in “threads” which are delivered carded to ensure the greatest possible volume.
Soft fill staple-fibre is also available treated with fire-retardant.
Latex is a heavy and elastic type of foam.
As stuffing material Latex ensures rather heavy and solid cushions, which at the same time are soft and “alive”.
As a component in mixtures with e.g. feathers from sea birds or siliconized fibres, Latex ensures an extremely good seating comfort.
B6 is only using Talalay latex, which gives a very homogeneous cushion of very high quality.
